The vocabulary, defined
What is a capper?
A capper (from "handicapper") is someone who analyses sports matchups and shares picks — a side, a total, a player prop or a parlay — often with a paid VIP tier in a Discord server or on a platform like DubClub or Whop.
What is a Discord picks bot?
A Discord picks bot posts a capper's picks into a channel in a consistent format, tracks whether each pick won, lost or pushed, and reports the record. SportDataIQ does this with automatic grading from the official box score and lines locked in at the time of posting.
What is closing-line value (CLV)?
CLV compares the odds a pick was posted at with the odds available just before the game started. A pick posted at +164 that closed at +140 beat the close. SportDataIQ shows CLV on every graded card and averages it on the record card.

Straight answers
How are picks graded?
Every pick is graded automatically from the official box score when the game goes final: spreads, moneylines, totals, team totals and player props (points, rebounds, hits, strikeouts, touchdowns and so on). The card is edited in place with the result, the closing line and the closing-line value (CLV), and the server record updates. Parlays grade leg by leg. Odds, units and the write-up can be edited for 15 minutes after posting; a pick can be retracted until the game starts, after which it is locked.
What does "SDIQ Verified" mean?
SDIQ Verified is the badge on a record card when every pick in the window was graded automatically by SportDataIQ from the box score, with the line and odds snapshotted at the moment of posting. If any pick in the window was entered or graded by hand, the badge is replaced with a plain count of self-graded picks. It is a description of how the record was produced, not an endorsement of the capper.
Can a capper keep their record private?
Yes. The public-record toggle lives in the dashboard. When it is off, results and the record card are only visible to the capper and server managers; posted cards show the pick without the graded result. Turning it back on re-renders the posted cards with their results.
Does it work with DubClub or Whop?
Yes. Paste your DubClub, Whop, Telegram or any join link in the dashboard and every pick card and record card carries a Join button. For DubClub the handle is read from the URL and shown as "@yourname on DubClub" on the banner.
Can members see picks from a different server?
No. Picks, records, banners and offers are scoped to the server they were posted in. A capper running two servers has two separate records.
Can I run my own affiliate codes and a sponsor?
Yes. Offers puts your promo codes and affiliate links in the server panel, in /offers and on picks posted at the matching sportsbook. The sponsor slot adds a second banner and button on pick cards for a campaign window. Clicks are counted per server through signed links; the money is between you and the partner — we take no cut.
How long does setup take?
Around five minutes. Add the bot to your server, open the dashboard, turn on Premium, pick your free and VIP channels, upload a logo (a banner is generated for you if you skip it), and post your first pick from the compose screen. Lines and odds fill in from the books as you type.
What does SportDataIQ Premium cost?
Premium is $5 per month or $50 per year per Discord server, with a $2 for the first week. That is the launch price and it does not go up for servers that keep their subscription. The free bot — live scores, standings, leaderboards, scoring alerts and Pick'em — stays free.
