Yes. SportDataIQ is completely free. All features including live scores, standings, leaderboards, and scoring alerts are available at no cost.

Scores are updated every 30 seconds during live games. Use the Refresh button in the /sportdataiq command to fetch the latest data immediately.

Scoring alerts are typically delivered within 30 to 90 seconds of the real-world play. SportDataIQ polls the official league feeds every 30 seconds and forwards detected events to Discord through DataStreak.

Yes. Choose between First Scorer markets (the opening score of the game) and Anytime Scorer markets (every scoring play). Available markets by league: First and Anytime Touchdown (NFL, NCAAF), First and Anytime Goal (NHL), First and Anytime Home Run (MLB), and First Basket and Anytime 3-Pointer (NBA, WNBA). Every rule can also be filtered to specific teams or players.

Yes. Open "Add filters" on any rule in the dashboard. Pick teams (the scoring team must match), "Only these players" (the scorer must match, chosen from live rosters), or "Never these players" to exclude someone. Empty lists don't restrict anything. On First-scorer markets a player filter means the alert only fires if that player scores first.

Yes. Run /follow player or /follow team in any server the bot is in and the bot will DM you privately every time they score. No server rule or admin permission is needed. /following shows your list with remove buttons and /unfollow removes one. Limits are 15 players and 5 teams per person, and your DMs must be open to server members.

Yes. In the dashboard open Server settings for your server and pick a default role — every scoring alert and daily Edges post will start with @Role. Each rule can override that with a different role or no ping. The role must be mentionable, or the bot needs the "Mention @everyone, @here and All Roles" permission.

Yes, both in Server settings. The time zone controls Edges of the Day post times, quiet hours, and game times in embeds. Quiet hours define a daily window (it can cross midnight) during which scoring alerts are either sent without the role ping or not sent at all. Edges posts and /follow DMs are not affected by quiet hours.

Yes. Those are bot announcements: one message a few times a season about new features, never ads. In Server settings choose the channel they go to, or untick "Receive bot announcements" to stop them. By default they land in the channel of your most active alert rule, or the server's system channel if you have no rules.

Every night the bot checks that it can still post to each rule's channel. If the channel was deleted, the bot was removed from the server, or it lost permission to post there, the rule is paused and the reason is shown on the rule card. Fix the channel or permissions, then click Enable to resume.

Open Activity in the dashboard: the Alert History panel lists the last 50 alerts sent to your server with a link to each Discord message, so you can see whether it went out and where. If nothing is landing at all, check sportdataiq.com/status — it shows whether the bot, alert delivery and each league's data feed are running.

You need "Manage Server" in Discord — or the server's Alert managers role, if an admin has set one in Server settings. Anyone can use /follow for personal DM alerts.

Final scores (one post per game with box-score leaders), live game threads (a thread per game with every scoring play inside), injury-report changes, milestones only (30th home run, 10th touchdown, 20th goal), a morning game-day digest, and weekly standings with movement — each is a rule you point at a channel. Pick'em threads (a prediction game per game: winner, over/under, first scorer, stat leaders, in-game questions) settle automatically, with /rank leaderboards and a monthly champion.

Yes. /futures shows season-long odds — championship, MVP, conference and division winners — with the best price across FanDuel, DraftKings, Bovada, Pinnacle, Kalshi and more, presented by DataStreak. Odds are market data, not betting advice; 21+ and where legal.

Yes. You can add SportDataIQ to as many Discord servers as you want. Each server has independent alert rules and configuration.

No. SportDataIQ has built-in deduplication. Even if multiple rules match the same event, only one alert per (rule, channel, event) is sent.

SportDataIQ is hosted and operated by DataStreak (https://www.thedatastreak.com), a sports analytics data provider.

Yes. SportDataIQ only stores Discord server IDs, channel IDs, alert rule configurations, and anonymous usage statistics. We never store message content or sell information to third parties.

Currently, SportDataIQ focuses on current season data including live scores, standings, and leaderboards. Historical data features may be added in the future.
