Leaderboards

View top performers and statistical leaders across all major sports leagues.

Accessing Leaderboards

Use the /sportdataiq command and select "Leaderboards" from the main menu.

Steps:

  1. Type /sportdataiq in any Discord channel
  2. Click "Leaderboards" from the three main options
  3. Select your league (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.)
  4. Choose a stat category to view leaders

How Leaderboards Work

Leaderboards show the top 15 players for any statistical category. Each league has different stat categories available:

🏈 NFL & College Football (NCAAF)

Offensive Stats

  • • Passing Yards (Pass YDS)
  • • Passing Touchdowns (Pass TDs)
  • • Rushing Yards (Rush YDS)
  • • Rushing Touchdowns (Rush TDs)
  • • Receiving Yards (Rec YDS)
  • • Receiving Touchdowns (Rec TDs)
  • • QB Rating

Defensive Stats

  • • Tackles
  • • Sacks
  • • Interceptions

⚾ MLB Baseball

Batting Stats

  • • Home Runs (HR)
  • • RBI (Runs Batted In)
  • • Hits (H)
  • • Runs (R)
  • • Stolen Bases (SB)
  • • Batting Average (AVG)

Pitching Stats

  • • Wins (W)
  • • Saves (SV)
  • • Strikeouts (K)
  • • ERA (Earned Run Average)

Player Stats

  • • Points (PTS)
  • • Rebounds (REB)
  • • Assists (AST)

Skater Stats

  • • Goals (G)

Two View Modes

Leaderboards can be viewed in two different formats:

📋 List View

Shows the top 15 players in a ranked list format:

  • Top 3 players get medal emojis (🥇🥈🥉)
  • Each entry shows: rank, player name, team abbreviation, and stat value
  • Perfect for quickly scanning who leads the league
🥇 John Doe (LAR) — 2,847 YDS
🥈 Jane Smith (KC) — 2,654 YDS
🥉 Bob Jones (BUF) — 2,501 YDS

👤 Player Card View

Individual spotlight for each player with rich details:

  • Player headshot photos
  • Team name and player name
  • Large display of stat value
  • Rank out of total leaders (e.g., "Rank 1 of 150")
  • Navigate between players using Previous/Next buttons

Navigation

  • 📊
    Category Selector: Use the dropdown menu to switch between offensive and defensive stats
  • ⬅️➡️
    Previous/Next Buttons: Navigate through individual player cards one by one
  • 📋
    Back to List: Return to the full top-15 list from any player card
  • 🔄
    Change League: Switch between NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. without restarting
  • 🏠
    Home Button: Return to the main menu anytime

Stat Formatting

Stats are displayed in easy-to-read formats:

  • Counting Stats: Whole numbers with commas (e.g., 2,847 yards)
  • Percentages: Three decimal places (e.g., .287 batting average)
  • Averages: Two decimal places (e.g., 2.45 ERA)
  • Large Numbers: Abbreviated with suffix when appropriate (e.g., 1.2K strikeouts)

Current Season Data

Leaderboards display current season statistics only. Data is updated every 30 seconds to reflect the latest performances from live and completed games.

  • Following MVP races and statistical battles
  • Discovering breakout players and top performers
