Manage your account information, view connected servers, and access help resources.
Accessing Settings
Access your settings page from the dashboard:
- Go to sportdataiq.com/dashboard
- Login with your Discord account
- Click "Settings" in the top navigation bar
Or visit directly: sportdataiq.com/dashboard/settings
Settings Sections
The settings page is organized into several areas:

Account Information
View your Discord account details:
- Profile Avatar: Your Discord profile picture
- Username: Your Discord username and display name
- User ID: Your unique Discord user ID
- Logout Button: Sign out of the SportDataIQ dashboard

Your Servers
See all Discord servers where SportDataIQ bot is installed:
- List of servers with the bot added
- Server icons and names displayed
- Quick "Manage Alerts" links for each server
- Direct access to alert configuration pages
Quick Actions:
Click on any server card to go directly to that server's alert rules page and manage notifications.

Preferences (Coming Soon)
Future preference options will include:
- Time zone selection for timestamps
- Date format preferences (MM/DD/YYYY vs DD/MM/YYYY)
- Email notifications (optional)
- Default league selection

Common Tasks
Managing Alerts for a Server
- Go to Settings page
- Find your server in "Your Servers" section
- Click "Manage Alerts" on the server card
- You'll be taken to that server's alerts page
Logging Out
- Click on Settings in the navigation
- Find the "Account" section
- Click the "Sign out" button
- You'll be redirected to the login page
Getting Help
- Visit the Settings page
- Scroll to the "Help" section
- Click "Documentation" for guides
- Or click "Discord Support" to join the community server
Account Security
- 🔐OAuth Authentication: SportDataIQ uses Discord's official OAuth system - no passwords are stored or required
- 🛡️Session Management: Sessions expire automatically for security
- 🔒Secure Connections: All dashboard traffic is encrypted via HTTPS
- 👁️Limited Access: SportDataIQ only requests permissions needed for functionality (server list, user info)
Privacy & Data
What information SportDataIQ stores:
- Discord User ID: To identify your account
- Server IDs: To associate alert rules with Discord servers
- Channel IDs: To know where to send alerts
- Alert Rules: Your configured notification settings
- Activity History: Record of alerts sent (90 days)
✅ What we DON'T store:
- Discord message content
- Personal conversations or DMs
- Voice chat data
- Banking or payment information (service is free)
